Oppenhoff advises CordenPharma on the acquisition of AmbioPharm

Oppenhoff advised CordenPharma on the acquisition of the peptide CDMO AmbioPharm.

With this acquisition, CordenPharma is expanding its global peptide platform to include additional production capacity in the U.S. as well as a facility in Shanghai. In particular, the transaction strengthens the company’s development and manufacturing capabilities for complex peptide active ingredients and expands its global production network to three continents.

Under the leadership of Dr. Markus Rasner, Oppenhoff managed the global legal due diligence with a particular focus on regulatory aspects, involving law firms in the U.S. and China, among other locations.

AmbioPharm is a U.S.-based CDMO provider of synthetic peptides with production sites in North Augusta, South Carolina, and Shanghai, China. The company specializes in the development and manufacture of peptide-based active pharmaceutical ingredients for clinical and commercial applications and possesses extensive expertise in complex peptide programs.
