Experience

Markus Rasner specializes in advising on domestic and cross-border M&A and private equity transactions. For 20 years he has advised entrepreneurs, family offices, financial investors and both national and international enterprises on their M&A projects. He also has extensive experience in advising Asian investors. Markus Rasner regularly advises leading providers of M&A insurance solutions on their underwriting of transactional risks. Additionally, he advises on distressed M&A transactions and complex corporate law matters.

Markus Rasner is regularly listed in directories such as JUVE Handbook, Legal 500, Best Lawyers and kanzleimonitor as frequently recommended lawyer for M&A, Private Equity and W&I Insurance.

Education

Markus Rasner is a partner at Oppenhoff. Prior to joining Oppenhoff he worked as a lawyer and partner at leading national and international law firms in Frankfurt am Main. In 2008/09 he worked as foreign secondee for one of the leading law firms in Singapore. He studied law at the Universities of Giessen and Munster and earned his doctorate at Giessen University in 2004 with a dissertation on public takeover law.

In addition to his role at Oppenhoff, Markus serves as Honorary Consul of the Republic of Singapore in Frankfurt am Main.
