Experience

Moritz Coché advises and represents national and international companies in all areas of individual and collective employment law. His particular area of expertise is advising on company pension schemes (betriebliche Altersversorgung, bAV). In addition to litigation, this includes in particular structural advice on the restructuring of pension schemes (de-risking), the introduction, modification and replacement of pension schemes and commitments as well as pension law advice in the course of M&A transactions. A further focus of his work is employment law advice on corporate restructurings, in particular insolvency-related restructurings, and strategic advice on collective employment matters, in particular collective bargaining law. 

Mr. Coché is a member of the Insolvency Law and Restructuring team at Oppenhoff.

Education

Moritz Coché has been a lawyer at Oppenhoff since 2021. He studied law at the University of Cologne with a focus on employment law. Prior to his legal internship, Moritz Coché already worked as a research assistant in Oppenhoff's employment law practice group.

Moritz Coché's legal training included internships in Oppenhoff's employment law department and in the people & reward/employment law department of the law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Düsseldorf.

Moritz Coché is a member of the German Lawyers Association (Deutscher Anwaltverein e. V., DAV), the Employment Law Working Group of the DAV and the Company Pensions Working Group of the aba.
