Johannes Kaesbach has been a lawyer at Oppenhoff since 2020. He studied law at the University of Cologne, with a focus on corporate law. Prior to his legal training he initially worked as a research assistant in the corporate/M&A department of the law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Cologne, as well as for a commercial law firm in Düsseldorf, later in the corporate law department of Oppenhoff. Johannes Kaesbach's legal training included internships in the employment law department of the law firm Loschelder and in the German Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa. In 2022 he obtained his doctorate on a topic of Union law at the University of Cologne.

Experience
Johannes Kaesbach advises and represents national and international companies in all areas of individual and collective employment law. His work includes the drafting, implementation and termination of employment and service contracts. A particular focus of his work is labour law compliance, in particular in the areas of antidiscrimination law and occupational health and safety law. He is also experienced in advising on matters of shop constitution law and in accompanying negotiations between works councils and employers.
