Experience

Fee Mäder advises and represents German and international companies in the field of trademark, competition and copyright law. In addition to defending and enforcing infringement claims, she provides legal support in the planning and implementation of advertising and marketing measures as well as in the defence against the anti-competitive conduct of competitors.

Fee Mäder provides strategic advice to companies and entrepreneurs on their market development, and assists in all other steps, from the notification and management of marks to their defence.

Fee Mäder also specialises in media law. Here, she advises and represents clients in both the defence and enforcement of claims under private law, such as the infringement of personal rights through text and photo journalism, as well as in the field of public media law in cases concerning supervisory and regulatory questions as well as proceedings of the federal state media institutions.

 

Education

Fee Mäder has been a lawyer at Oppenhoff since 2014. She studied law in Freiburg and Cologne. Whilst writing her dissertation at the University of Cologne under Prof. Karl Nikolaus Pfeifer on a copyright-related topic, she worked as a research assistant in the IP/IT department at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. During her legal training she worked at, among others, the German Embassy in Australia and at the Media Group RTL Germany.

Fee Mäder is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (Deutsche Vereinigung für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht e.V., GRUR), Alumni Medienrecht Köln e.V. and the Cologne Bar Association (Kölner Anwaltverein, KAV). She is also actively involved in the Kölner Service Club of Zonta International.
