Stephan König specialises in mergers and acquisitions, corporate advice to family-owned groups as well as disputes resulting from these. He has particular experience in arbitration proceedings both as arbitrator and as party representative in large-scale arbitration proceedings in the areas M&A, joint ventures and corporate law. Stephan König heads the India Desk at Oppenhoff.
Stephan is a founding partner of Oppenhoff. He was a partner at Oppenhoff & Rädler / Linklaters LLP from 1992 to 2007. He studied law at the Universities of Cologne, Geneva and Munich (Dr. iur.). He also holds an M.C.J. from New York University School of Law. Stephan is a member of the Union Internationale des Avocats (past President of the M&A Commission), of the International Bar Association (Committee on Arbitration and ADR) and of the German Arbitration Institute (DIS).
