Alexandra Groth

Experience

Alexandra Groth advises German and international companies on employment law questions concerning reorganisations and the relocation of business divisions. She is experienced in the drafting, implementation and termination of employment and service agreements, and also assists clients in social security matters. Furthermore, she advises employers on questions concerning company codetermination, such as the harmonisation of employment conditions or in the area of New Work.

A further focus of her work is the establishment of employee participation programmes and (virtual) stock option plans.

Alexandra Groth is a member of the French Desk and advises French companies on the employment law aspects of their entry into the German market.

Education

Alexandra Groth has been a lawyer at Oppenhoff since 2018. She previously worked as a lawyer in the employment law department at KPMG Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH from 2016 to 2018. She studied law at the Heinrich-Heine University in Düsseldorf and Université de Cergy-Pontoise in France, focusing on German and French employment and corporate law. She has the additional qualification of Master en droit. Alexandra Groth's legal training included internships at Allen & Overy LLP (employment law) and Bertelsmann Inc. in New York. Prior to studying, she completed a dual double vocational training as Industriekauffrau (industrial clerk) and BTS Comptabilité/Gestion (accounting and management) at Robert Bosch SAS in France.

She is a member of the German Bar Association (Deutscher Anwaltverein e. V. (DAV)), Cologne Bar Association (Kölner Anwaltverein e. V.) and of the Employment Law Working Group of the German Bar Association.
