Firm spokesperson Jörn Kuhn: “We are delighted to welcome these new members and are gaining proven professionals with extensive experience and in-depth expertise in the areas of corporate/M&A, private equity, venture capital, as well as antitrust law and EU state aid law. The entire team is closely networked within the region and possesses strong specialist expertise. Together with our colleagues in Cologne and Frankfurt, we can now support our clients in the Munich region even more directly and comprehensively.”

Dr Alexander von Bergwelt advises on corporate law as well as on national and international M&A transactions, joint ventures, private equity and restructurings. He also handles corporate litigation. He has many years’ experience in complex, cross-border corporate and group transactions and regularly advises on major restructurings and investment projects. “After many exciting years at Dentons, I am looking forward to my new role at Oppenhoff,” says Alexander von Bergwelt. “Together with the already excellently positioned Corporate and M&A practice, I would like to help further expand the practice and strengthen the Munich office in the long term.

A key focus of his work is advising on cross-sector mandates with an international dimension, particularly in the technology sector as well as in the banking, energy and life sciences sectors.

Sandra Weyrich works in the field of M&A and corporate law and advises in particular on cross-border projects in the aviation, infrastructure and automotive supply industries. She has particular experience in providing legal support for international structuring and transformation projects.

Till Schwichtenberg advises national and international clients on all aspects of corporate law. His practice focuses on national and cross‑border M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions.

Pablo Albrecht advises national and international clients on M&A and private equity transactions, restructurings, venture capital investments and general company law matters. In addition, he represents shareholders in and out of court in corporate law disputes. Before joining Oppenhoff, he worked, amongst other roles, as Director of M&A at Aon and, most recently, as General Counsel of an international media agency group.

Laurenz Kiefer advises national and international clients on M&A and private equity transactions, group restructuring and general corporate law matters. A key focus of his work is advising financial investors on cross-border investments, as well as on distressed M&A and carve-out transactions. He has been part of Oppenhoff since October 2025 and will also be based at the Munich office in future.

Together with the previously announced arrival of Dr Christiane Zedelius’s team, Oppenhoff is launching in Munich with strong teams right from the start. Oppenhoff will continue to expand its Munich office in a targeted manner over the course of the year, thereby consistently implementing its full-service approach locally.
