Oppenhoff opens new office in Munich and continues its growth
Oppenhoff opened its new office in Munich on 1 May 2026, thereby consistently continuing its growth trajectory. Following Cologne and Frankfurt, Munich is now the firm’s third office in Germany.
Oppenhoff is initially represented in Munich by 14 legal professionals. Further expansion of the office is already firmly planned: over the next two months, the team will grow to around 20 lawyers.
Firm spokesperson Jörn Kuhn:“With the opening of our Munich office, we are reaching an important milestone in our strategic development. This step is the result of careful consideration and a logical part of our growth strategy. Munich is one of Europe’s leading business hubs. We are therefore all the more delighted to be working with our new colleagues, with whom we have been in close contact from the outset and with whom we will jointly develop the office.”
To begin with, Oppenhoff is moving into office space at Promenadeplatz 12 in the heart of Munich. This means the office is immediately operationally anchored in a central location within the city. The move to the permanent premises currently under construction in the centre of Munich is scheduled for the second half of the year. There, we will realise our vision of a modern law firm in terms of both space and functionality.
Launch with strong teams, particularly in Corporate/M&A and Trade, Distribution and Logistics
The Munich office is launching with experienced teams that have excellent networks in the region.
To kick things off, Oppenhoff is placing a clear focus on Corporate/M&A as well as on Trade, Distribution and Logistics. This ensures that the firm is strongly positioned in key areas of commercial law right from the start.
“We are represented in Munich from day one with an exceptionally strong professional team,” says Jörn Kuhn. “At the same time, we are laying the foundations to further expand the office in a targeted manner over the coming months.”
Details regarding the individual teams and the new recruits in the areas of Corporate/M&A and Trade, Distribution and Logistics can be found in further press releases on the Oppenhoff website.
With its local presence, Oppenhoff is strengthening existing client relationships and tapping into further potential in the region as well as in an international context.
At the same time, the establishment of larger, specialised units enables closer integration of advice across different areas of law and enhances our capacity to handle complex, cross-border mandates.
Oppenhoff will continue to develop the Munich office in a targeted manner over the course of the year, adding further specialisms from its existing advisory portfolio. Our presence in various sectors will also be gradually expanded.
In doing so, the firm aims to consistently implement its full-service approach in Munich as well, offering local clients the full spectrum of advisory services.
“Our aim is to establish Munich as a strong and integral part of our firm in the long term,” says Jörn Kuhn. “We are making targeted investments in the expansion of the office, thereby creating a platform for sustainable growth.”
