Oppenhoff continues to expand Venture Capital, Private Equity and M&A practice in Munich with market-leading team

Oppenhoff is expanding its existing Corporate/M&A capabilities with a market-leading Venture Capital, Private Equity and M&A team in Munich.

Effective 1 July 2026, Christian Tönies joins the firm as a partner and will play a leading role in the continued build-up of Oppenhoff’s Munich office. Markus Döllner will also join as a partner, together with the rest of the team consisting of Severin Scholz as Senior Associate and Oliver Ferstl as Associate. All four are joining from the renowned law firm POELLATH.

Christian Tönies was previously part of POELLATH’s highly regarded Venture Capital practice. He advises venture capital funds, corporate venture capital investors, start-ups, as well as institutional and strategic investors across the full spectrum of venture capital, private equity and M&A matters – from financing rounds and acquisitions to exits. With his many years of experience, strong reputation and excellent network, he is regarded as one of the leading figures in the German venture capital, private equity and M&A market.

Markus Döllner advises companies and investors on venture capital and private equity transactions as well as corporate law matters. He has particular experience in advising on financing rounds, corporate investments and complex M&A transactions. The team is further strengthened by Severin Scholz as Senior Associate and Oliver Ferstl as Associate. Both advise on venture capital, private equity and M&A transactions and further strengthen both the practice and the Munich office.
