Oppenhoff appoints Anna-Catharina von Girsewald as equity partner and three new salary partners
Anna-Catharina von Girsewald will be joining the circle of Oppenhoff’s equity partners with effect from 1 January 2026.
Three further lawyers, David Falkowski (corporate and foundation law, compliance), Valentino Halim (IT and data protection) and Sebastian Gutmann (M&A, with a focus on the energy sector), have been appointed as salary partners.

Anna-Catharina von Girsewald advises German and foreign companies on national and international M&A transactions and joint ventures, with a particular focus on the insurance sector. In addition, she regularly assists clients with corporate restructuring and transformation measures. A further focus of her work is advising on insurance supervisory law.

David Falkowski advises German and foreign companies and foundations on all aspects of German and European corporate and foundation law. In addition, he advises high net worth individuals, company owners, family businesses and foundations on all aspects of corporate and asset succession, with a particular focus on cross-border issues. David Falkowski also advises on compliance topics.
