Oppenhoff advises Compagnie de Saint-Gobain S.A. on the sale of HKO

Oppenhoff advised Compagnie de Saint-Gobain S.A. on all legal aspects of the divestment of the HKO Group, a manufacturer of technical textiles and high-temperature insulation products, to a fund managed by DUBAG Group.

Led by Myriam Baars-Schilling, Oppenhoff advised Saint-Gobain on the sale of the German companies H.K.O. Isolier- und Textiltechnik GmbH and BEUHKO Fasertechnik GmbH, as well as the French company DELTEC S.A.S. The mandate also included the sale of an industrial property in the Stuttgart area.

Die Compagnie de Saint-Gobain S.A. is a leading global group in the field of sustainable construction. The company develops, manufactures, and distributes materials and services for the construction and industrial sectors. In 2025, Saint-Gobain generated revenue of approximately €46.5 billion and employs more than 162,000 people worldwide in over 80 countries.

Die HKO manufactures technical textile components for high-temperature insulation mainly for automotive and industrial applications. HKO has industrial plants located in Oberhausen, Beuren and Leinefelde in Germany and in Wattignies in France. The business generated sales of approximately 45 million Euro in 2025 and employs around 220 people.

The transaction is part of Saint-Gobain's strategy to optimize its business profile.

Oppenhoff had previously advised Saint-Gobain on the acquisition of the HKO business in 2018.
