Oppenhoff advises BeyondBuild on strategic merger of spaceOS and Equiem Holdings

Oppenhoff has advised the venture capital investor BeyondBuild GmbH on a strategic merger of spaceOS Limited and Equiem Holdings Pty. Ltd. 

BeyondBuild GmbH is a VC investor that specialises in proptech and was one of the first professional investors in the Warsaw and Dublin-based start-up spaceOS Limited. Further VC investors in spaceOS included Momemi Ventures and the Munich-based venture capital arm of Hitachi.

spaceOS Limited and Australian-based Equiem Holdings Pty. Ltd. offer innovative solutions in the area of workspace experience. As part of the merger, Equiem Holding Pty. Ltd. acquired all shares in spaceOS. The founders of spaceOS will join Equiem's Executive Leadership Board as CSO and CGO. In addition, a representative of Hitachi Ventures will join Equiem's Advisory Board. Henceforth, Equiem and spaceOS are represented in 26 countries in the Asia-Pacific economic region, in Europe and North America.

The Oppenhoff team led by Dr Peter Etzbach included Dr Jonas Weise (both Corporate/M&A) and Hanjo Prondzinski (Tax). Equiem was advised by Fasken Martineau LLP (London), spaceOS by Mason Hayes & Curan (Dublin), Hitachi Ventures by Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe (Munich) and Momemi Ventures by Poellath+ (Munich).

Oppenhoff regularly advises companies in the venture capital environment, most recently BeyondBuild on various investments in proptech start-ups, the EIC Fund on several investments in tech start-ups and or SellerX on the acquisition of KW-Commerce.
