Oppenhoff advises AustriaEnergy International on Green Bond

Oppenhoff has advised the AustriaEnergy Group together with Simmons & Simmons on the creation and placement of a Green Bond with a target volume of €25 million. The Green Bond (WKN: A3LE0J, ISIN: DE000A3LE0J4) has a term of five years and bears interest at 8% p.a. The accompanying securities prospectus has been approved by the CSSF in Luxembourg.

The AustriaEnergy Group, based in Vienna, Austria, historically develops photovoltaic and wind power projects. Since 2019, its focus has also been on green hydrogen or green ammonia and storage technology.

The Oppenhoff team included Dr. Wolfgang Kotzur (Financing), Edder Cifuentes (Corporate/M&A, Energy and Infrastructure, both lead) and Alf Baars (Corporate/M&A, Energy and Infrastructure). The advisors at Simmons & Simmons were Dr. Felix Biedermann and Dr. Gabriele Röhl.

Oppenhoff recently advised AustriaEnergy on a large-scale Power-to-X project with CIP for green hydrogen and green ammonia in Chile.
