Continuity in growth: Oppenhoff management re-elected
The Oppenhoff partners have re-elected the management team for the next three years. The firm’s chairwoman Myriam Baars-Schilling, Dr Harald Gesell and Dr Jürgen Hartung are thus starting their second joint term of office and, together with COO Jörg Overbeck, will continue to form the firm's Executive Board.

In recent years, the firm has grown significantly in every respect - with over 100 lawyers now working in the three offices in Frankfurt, Hamburg and Cologne. "Our firm has developed excellently. Oppenhoff has recently won several new clients, particularly in focus sectors such as retail and consumer goods, digital business and energy. This year, tesa SE on the acquisition of tesa Labtec GmbH by Adhex Pharma, Bankhaus August Lenz on sale of its Payment Services division, AustriaEnergy on large-scale green hydrogen and green ammonia Power-to-X HNH Project in Chile with CIP, world's largest cable manufacturer Prysmian on sustainability-linked loan of €1.2 billion, Schoofs Immobilien on five major transactions, in particular the development on portfolio development of eleven specialist stores with Greenman, and mi.to.pharm in the proceedings against Amazon of an abuse of a market-dominating position, which were successful all the way to the Federal Constitutional Court. The firm also made it onto EnBW's panel for IT, telecommunications and data protection law.
The successes of the practices are also reflected in the law firm rankings of leading market analysts. For example, Oppenhoff was nominated as "Law Firm of the Year" in the JUVE Awards 2021, as well as the practice areas "Compliance" and "Media & Technology". In 2021, Oppenhoff won the JUVE award as Law Firm of the Year in the field of "Succession, Wealth, Foundations". 39 lawyers are listed in the Best Lawyers Rankings 2023. In the Kanzleimonitor 2021/2022 , the firm ranked fourth overall. It has also been nominated three times in a row as German Law Firm of the Year by the internationally renowned "The Lawyer".
