JUVE Handbook 2020: Oppenhoff a strong law firm, also in Frankfurt

The independent commercial law firm Oppenhoff has been included in the JUVE ranking for the Frankfurt region for the first time. For the annually published JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms 2020/2021, 34 editors have conducted more than 9,000 research interviews this year. Subsequently, the professional competence, client work, management qualities and strategy of German commercial law firms were assessed.

Strong development in Frankfurt

Through its continuous growth, the Frankfurt office has consistently developed further, also in the opinion of the independently operating specialist editorial team. According to the editors, this makes the office particularly interesting for lateral entrants to the firm from various disciplines. Most recently, corporate lawyer Dr. Gregor Seikel and finance lawyer Wolfgang Kotzur joined at partner level.

IT law and data protection: on the heels of the market leaders

Besides its corporate practice being a "firm-wide flagship", remarkable progress has also been made across all other practices. The areas of IT and data protection in particular are considered highly regarded and specialised. In the overall assessment of the leading reference work in the German legal market, Oppenhoff can maintain its strong market position from last year.

Oppenhoff a role model for flexible working

Furthermore, Oppenhoff is regarded in the market as one of the role models for flexible working. For example, salary partner Sarah Scharf and junior partner Anna-Catharina von Girsewald reconcile career and family within the scheme of a job-sharing model - a novelty in the world of law firms.

Oppenhoff was acknowledged in the JUVE Awards 2019 as Law Firm of the Year in the West. In the recently published in-house counsel survey of Kanzleimonitor.de 2020/21 Oppenhoff achieved a strong seventh place in the overall ranking of TOP 100 law firms. Only recently, Oppenhoff was named by WirtschaftsWoche as one of the top law firms in the fields of public procurement, data protection and information technology.
