Matthias Klefisch advises in the field of restructuring and insolvency as well as on corporate and company law. He focuses in particular on the counselling and restructuring of companies in crisis. Additionally, he advises national and international companies on corporate law issues and on German domestic and cross-border company acquisitions and joint ventures. He is also a certified restructuring and reorganisation expert.
Matthias Klefisch has been a lawyer at Oppenhoff since 2022. After studying law at the University of Trier with a focus on insolvency and company law, he graduated to Dr. jur. at the University of Trier. During his legal internship Matthias Klefisch worked at, among others, the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFIN) on the restructuring and winding-up of credit institutes, and at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Düsseldorf in the corporate law/M&A department.
