Oppenhoff opens office in Munich

Munich, here we come. The launch is drawing nearer. On 1 May 2026, Oppenhoff will open a new office in Munich, following on from Cologne and Frankfurt.

As the countdown ticks away, we’re not only counting down the days but also building a strong local team. At the same time, our Munich office is gradually taking shape. To kick things off, we are moving into our premises at Promenadeplatz 12, in a highly central location, which are currently being fitted out.

Over the coming weeks, we will be providing regular insights into the development of the office here, sharing updates and personal impressions from the team. Our permanent office in the heart of Munich is already under construction and will follow towards the end of the year as a prestigious new hub.

Launch in Munich with a renowned team

Oppenhoff is launching in Munich with a large team of highly experienced partners and well-established units that are excellently networked in the region and stand for high-calibre advisory services of the highest standard. From the outset, the Munich team will work closely with our colleagues in Cologne and Frankfurt to specifically pool cross-office expertise and offer clients even more effective, integrated advice.

Munich represents a logical next step for Oppenhoff. The city is one of Europe’s leading business hubs and a key location for international clients. Our advisory services have long been established here, thanks to numerous clients and well-established relationships in the region. By opening our own office, we are now taking the next step, creating greater proximity, a stronger presence and even more direct accessibility for our local clients.

At the same time, our expansion into Munich is a key component of our growth strategy. As a leading independent commercial law firm, we are using our new office to systematically expand our advisory capabilities. In this way, we are strengthening our full-service approach and providing comprehensive, efficient support for complex transactions and challenging projects, including those with an international dimension.

Our initial focus

With the new office, we are initially placing a clear emphasis on corporate/M&A with a focus on venture capital and private equity. This focus is complemented by key areas such as restructuring, as well as commercial, distribution and logistics law.

Furthermore, we are specifically expanding our range of services to include other key legal areas such as employment law, IP/IT, competition law and tax law – as part of our full-service approach, which we are continuously developing at our Munich office.

We are also setting clear priorities at the sector level: Defence & Security, Insurance and Digital Business are among the areas in which we have particular expertise and are specifically developing our advisory services.

Our aim is clear: we are not creating a satellite office in Munich, but an integral part of Oppenhoff – with a long-term perspective, sustainable development and a clear strategic focus.

The countdown is on

We look forward to getting started in Munich from May. Until then, we’ll keep you updated here. That way, you’ll stay up to date with our journey to Munich and the development of the site.
