Oppenhoff & Partner advises Senvion on its successful reorganisation

Oppenhoff & Partner has advised the wind power plant manufacturer Senvion (Hamburg) on its successful reorganisation. Parts of the production have been relocated and several sites in Germany have been shut down, including Senvion GmbH’s businesses in Husum and Trampe and the works of PowerBlades GmbH in Bremerhaven. Furthermore, reorganisation measures have also been implemented at other sites. The planned measures will lead to a reduction of about 660 workers in Germany over the next few months.

Top 100 employer – Oppenhoff & Partner once again amongst the employers of choice

In the course of the trendence Graduate barometer studies 2017 – German Law Edition, Oppenhoff & Partner has once again been ranked amongst the top 100 most popular employers for young lawyers in Germany. Overall, about 2,200 young lawyers, including students, legal trainees as well as fully qualified lawyers, have been questioned from May to June on their employers of choice and career ambitions.

Oppenhoff & Partner has advised SGL Carbon, the world-leading specialist in carbon fibres, on all legal aspects of the sale of its cathodes, furnace linings and carbon electrodes (CFL/CE) business. In an auction process led by Deutsche Bank and HSBC, the private equity firm Triton Partners was the successful bidder.

Oppenhoff & Partner gains three new partners in Frankfurt

Oppenhoff & Partner has gained the employment lawyer Anja Dombrowsky as well as M&A experts Till Liebau and Dr. Markus Rasner to further expand its office in Frankfurt am Main. The lawyers transferred from Graf von Westphalen to Oppenhoff’s Frankfurt office at the beginning of July. The three new partners already worked together for many years at CMS Hasche Sigle prior to working at GvW.

Oppenhoff & Partner advised DuMont Media Group on an investment in censhare AG within the frame of merger control. As a strategic investor, DuMont acquires up to 37.5% of the shares in censhare AG and thereby expands its "digital business". By the end of last year, DuMont already invested in Facelift brand building technologies GmbH. This transaction has also been advised by Oppenhoff & Partner.

Oppenhoff & Partner advises on Chilean 98 MWp solar park project

Oppenhoff & Partner’s Latin America Desk has advised the project developer AustrianSolar Chile SpA in connection with the project “Huatacondo”, a 98 MW solar park in northern Chile. Specifically, Oppenhoff & Partner drafted the contracts for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and operation as well as maintenance (O&M) of the solar park and also provided advice to the client over many months of negotiations with the contractor, sponsors and lenders.
