Oppenhoff advises Compagnie de Saint-Gobain on sale of German timber construction division

Oppenhoff has advised Compagnie de Saint-Gobain on the sale of its Münsterland-based subsidiary, Saint-Gobain Brüggemann Holzbau GmbH including all business properties to Köster Holding SE.

Saint-Gobain Brüggemann, a company specialising in the production of timber modules and the construction of turnkey timber buildings, employs 190 people and, since its foundation in 1957, has successfully completed numerous residential, commercial and educational projects.

Compagnie de Saint-Gobain is a global leader in sustainable construction, developing, producing and distributing materials and services for the construction and industrial sectors. The company operates in 80 countries worldwide.

Köster Holding SE, headquartered in Osnabrück, is one of Germany’s leading construction companies, with around 2,000 employees at over 20 locations. The company provides complete solutions for building construction, civil engineering and turnkey projects.

The Oppenhoff team led by Myriam Baars-Schilling (Corporate/M&A) comprised Sebastian Gutmann, Dr Maike Mestmäcker, Dr Matthias Klefisch (all Corporate/M&A), Dr Stefanie Minzenmay, Julia Höyng, Antonia van Dam (all Real Estate), Dr Gunnar Knorr, Martin Brandenburger-Nonnast (both Tax), Dr Daniel Dohrn, Dr Agnès Reinhold (both Antitrust), Jörn Kuhn, Moritz Coché, and Dr Johannes Kaesbach (all Employment).

Inhouse at Compagnie de Saint-Gobain the transaction was handled by Matthias Zenner (Head of Legal and Compliance) and Eva Beutin (Inhouse Counsel).
