azur Awards 2026: Oppenhoff awarded as a top employer
Oppenhoff remains one of the leading employers for lawyers in Germany in 2026. In the latest azur100 ranking, we were awarded four stars, placing us among the top tier of the German law firm market. This accolade underscores our commitment to combining excellent legal work with a sustainable and modern working environment.
The azur100 editorial team identifies the top employers for lawyers in Germany every year. This is based on a comparison of the 50 leading commercial law firms, assessed according to criteria such as training and professional development, career opportunities, salary, work-life balance and the working environment. The opinions of more than 5,000 associates, students and in-house counsel are also taken into account. The use of legal tech, AI and corporate culture are also considered.
Based on these criteria, Oppenhoff once again performed outstandingly in 2026 and confirmed its leading position in the market. In particular, our training and professional development programmes received above-average ratings.
Internships & Legal Traineeships
Students take part in our six-week summer school, during which they gain insights into various specialist areas, take part in a moot court, develop their own legal tech projects and complete training courses in negotiation skills and legal English.
Trainee solicitors receive targeted support on their path to the bar exam, including revision courses, exam preparation classes, digital learning resources and additional formats focusing on legal tech.
Training & Career
For our lawyers, we offer a structured development programme comprising specialist training, soft skill workshops and courses on legal tech, legal prompting and our own AI. This is complemented by personal training budgets and targeted career development programmes, from associate level right through to partnership.
