Oppenhoff advises CalixKlippan on the acquisition of Carbox

Oppenhoff has advised CalixKlippan group, Sweden, on the acquisition of CARBOX GmbH & Co. KG, located in Achim near Bremen.

Carbox is a third-generation family business specialising in the manufacture of model-specific, high-precision trunk liners and other interior accessories. Founded in 1908, the company supplies large accessory dealers and leading automobile manufacturers as an OEM.

Swedish CalixKlippan group acquired Carbox through its subsidiary Autoform i Malung, a producer of customized trunk liners and roof boxes. CalixKlippan group supplies the automotive industry as OEM with a wide range of different products from storage and heating systems to body components and accessories. In 2019, the group achieved sales of more than EUR 145 million.

The Oppenhoff team led by Till Liebau consisted of Sarah Scharf, Marcel Markovic, Moritz Schmitz (all corporate/M&A), Anja Dombrowsky, Cornelia-Cristina Scupra (both employment), Marc Häger und Marvin Rochner (both real estate).

Oppenhoff regularly advises leading OEMs and suppliers domestically and internationally – inter alia on M&A, Joint Venture and supply agreements, R&D and distribution issues as well as insourcing and outsourcing projects.
