Holger Hofmann

Experience

Holger Hofmann specialises in advising German and international companies on public law and regulatory matters. Focuses of his legal advice are environmental law, public procurement law and energy law, with a particular emphasis on ESG compliance. In this context, Holger Hofmann advises clients in proceedings with the authorities, before administrative courts and in review proceedings. He also provides M&A transaction-based advice and assists in the evaluation and implementation of company-specific compliance structures.

Best Lawyers lists Holger Hofmann as one of Germany best lawyers for regulatory matters. In 2018 WirtschaftsWoche lists him as one of the top lawyers for public procurement law.

 

Education

Holger Hofmann has been a lawyer at Oppenhoff since 2008 and is now a partner of the firm. He studied law at the University of Cologne and worked there for several years as a research assistant at the Professorship for Public Law, Public International Law and European Law. His legal training included work at a law firm specialised in energy law and at the Southeast and East Asia Office of a German foundation in Bangkok, Thailand. For the FORUM Institut für Management, he intermittently lectured on the specialist lawyers‘ course  Public Procurement Law, module “Awards in the Defence and Security Sector”.

He is a member of the German Bar Association (Deutscher Anwaltverein, DAV), the Environmental Law Society (Gesellschaft für Umweltrecht, GfU) and the Public Procurement Forum (forum vergabe e.V.)
