Experience

Ann Margret Herzhoff specialises in real estate management law. She advises and represents national and international enterprises and investors on, among other things, the purchase and sale of properties and real estate (portfolios), as well as on matters of tenancy law. In particular, her activities include the legal examination of real estate transactions and the drafting of real estate purchase agreements and commercial lease agreements. She also handles matters concerning public building law and private energy management law. Ann Margret Herzhoff is member of the French Desk.

Education

Ann Margret Herzhoff has been a lawyer at Oppenhoff since 2021. She studied law at the Universities of Cologne and Copenhagen and completed a post-graduate Master‘s course (LL.M.). Ann Margret Herzhoff holds a scholarship from the Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung.

During her studies, she worked at, among other things, the German Federal Network Agency in Bonn and as a research assistant at Hogan Lovells International LLP in Frankfurt am Main. Ann Margret Herzhoff’s legal internship included work for Lenz und Johlen Rechtsanwälte Partnerschaft mbB in the field of private building law as well as in the legal department of Bayer AG in the Law, Patents, Compliance sector.

Before joining Oppenhoff, Ann Margret Herzhoff was a research assistant at the Institute for Labour and Economic Law headed by Prof. Dr. Martin Henssler. In 2022 she received her doctorate from the University of Cologne with a thesis on board liability for innovation decisions.
