Oppenhoff achieves growth target in Munich: Office expands to over 20 lawyers
Three months after opening its Munich office, Oppenhoff has reached an important milestone in expanding its presence in southern Germany. With further new recruits, the team has now grown to 24 lawyers. These new recruits expand the range of advisory services offered, particularly in the areas of employment law, corporate/M&A, venture capital, and competition and state aid law, and underline the firm’s full-service approach.
As of 1 August 2026, Caroline Hartmann has joined the firm’s employment law team as a senior associate. Severin Scholz, as a senior associate, and the associates Sara-Alexandra Raitner, Tim Güther, Oliver Ferstl, Julian Meier and Lisa-Sophie Wollschläger had already joined the Munich office. One associate and one senior associate will join by 1 October. Oppenhoff has thus achieved the growth target set when the office was opened.
Munich office continues to raise its profile
Together with the partners recruited in recent months and other legal professionals, the Munich office now already covers key areas of commercial law. These include, in particular, corporate/M&A, venture capital, private equity, employment law, IT and data law, trade, sales and logistics, as well as competition and state aid law.
Firm spokesperson Jörn Kuhn: “With these latest additions, we are achieving our goal of expanding the Munich office to more than 20 lawyers just three months after its opening. By 1 October 2026, 26 lawyers will be working at our Munich office. The fact that we have been able to recruit highly qualified young colleagues with diverse areas of specialisation underscores the appeal of our office and confirms our growth trajectory. At the same time, we are strengthening our advisory services in strategically important practice groups and creating a high-calibre full-service offering for our clients in Munich, with close links to our teams in Cologne and Frankfurt am Main.”
By successfully establishing the Munich team within just a few months, Oppenhoff has laid an important foundation for the location’s further development. The firm will continue to expand its presence in the region in a targeted manner and further strengthen the Munich office as an integral part of its Germany-wide full-service offering.
