Aerospace & Defence: Dr. Marc Hilber and Dr. Regina Engelstädter assume leadership of the sector group

Dr. Marc Hilber and Dr. Regina Engelstädter will jointly assume leadership of the Aerospace & Defence sector group effective 1 July 2026. They succeed Michael Abels, who built and successfully led the group over many years. Over the past four decades, Michael Abels has been involved in virtually all major defence projects, laying the foundation for our sector group as it exists today, which now comprises more than 40 professionals.

Our advisory services focus on German and European defence companies, systems integrators and investors, whom we advise comprehensively across all relevant areas, including M&A, joint ventures, public procurement law, foreign trade law, export controls, supply and licence agreements, as well as security clearance and classified information matters.

Regina Engelstädter and Marc Hilber form a well-established team and have recently advised on several German-Ukrainian joint ventures in the UAV sector, as well as on cross-border projects such as MGCS (Main Ground Combat System) and collaborations relating to German-Israeli defence programmes.
