New partners at Oppenhoff

With effect from 1 July 2020, the independent law firm Oppenhoff has appointed corporate and M&A attorney Sarah Scharf as partner, and labor law attorney Alexandra Groth and litigation and arbitration attorney Dr. Anna-Gesine Zimmermann as junior partners. These steps up the career ladder are in response to the attorneys' contributions to the sustained success of the firm’s clients.

Sarah Scharf advises on all questions of corporate law, in particular on D&O liability and intra-group reorganizations. Her focus is on advising German and foreign companies in national and international M&A transactions and joint ventures. Sarah Scharf has particular experience in the field of external succession planning and venture capital. She regularly advises corporate groups and family businesses on participating in or acquiring start-ups.

Alexandra Groth advises national and international companies on all areas of individual and collective labor law, in particular on the drafting, implementation and termination of employment and service contracts as well as on business and company co-determination. A further focus of her work is providing labor law advice on corporate restructuring and M&A transactions.

Dr. Anna-Gesine Lock advises and represents national and international companies in civil, commercial and business law disputes both in the context of out-of-court dispute resolution and in the enforcement and defense of claims before the state courts and arbitration tribunals. A further focus of her work is drafting and advising on the execution of contracts and the defense of compensation claims in distribution law.

Dr. Gilbert Wurth, Oppenhoff’s spokesman, commented: "I would like to congratulate our colleagues on this career move. The appointments are proof of their outstanding work and acknowledge their successful contribution to the success of the entire firm."

In December last year, the firm had already appointed five partners from the fields of tax law, M&A/corporate law, succession/wealth/foundations and labor law, and had appointed the IT/distribution law attorney Dr. Hanna Schmidt as junior partner.
