Nicholas Degen advises and represents national and international enterprises in civil, trade and commercial disputes. In addition to extrajudicial conflict resolution, this includes the enforcement and defence of claims before the state courts. He also advises individuals and enterprises on intellectual property law. Nicholas Degen is member of the French Desk.



Nicholas Degen has been a lawyer at Oppenhoff since 2018. After studying law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University in Bonn, he completed his legal training in Hamburg, with further stations in New York City and Ottawa, at the Federal Cartel Office and in the employment law division of Hogan Lovells. Parallel to his legal training, Nicholas Degen worked in the antitrust law division of a medium-sized North German law firm.

During his studies, Nicholas Degen initially worked at the Institute for Roman Law and Comparative Legal History, and later as a research assistant in the field of antitrust law at an American law firm in Cologne.
