Why are more and more companies - especially in the retail sector – applying for the opening of Self-Administration or Protective Shield Proceedings in Germany?
After all, by making use of self-administered / protective shielding procedure, companies are foregoing both, the recently adopted suspension of the obligation to file for insolvency and the extensive aid packages of the state in order to mitigate the COVID-19-pandemic (e.g. short-time work compensation, KfW loans etc.) through the claim of a process of Self-Administration or Protective Shield.
