Oppenhoff & Partner advises Schaltbau Group on Acquisition of the Bode Corporation

Gebr. Bode GmbH & Co. KG in Kassel, a manufacturer of door systems for busses and rail vehicles and a wholly owned subsidiary of Schaltbau Holding AG, has indirectly acquired 67% of the shares in the Bode Corporation, USA. Gebr. Bode GmbH & Co. KG will be assuming the industrial leadership at the Bode Corporation immediately. With this move, the Schaltbau Group is continuing its focus on a strong presence in the growing North American market for door systems and transport technology. The purchase price is not being disclosed.

The Schaltbau Group, with its annual turnover of EUR 270 million and about 1,600 employees, is one of the leading suppliers of components and equipment for transport technology. The enterprise supplies complete level crossings and door systems for busses and trains, industrial brakes for container cranes, as well as energy supply systems and high and low voltage components for rail vehicles.
