Oppenhoff advises NH Hoteles on the sale of five hotels

Oppenhoff & Partner Rechtsanwälte has advised the Spanish hotel group NH Hoteles on the sale of five hotel properties in Germany and Austria to Invesco Real Estate (IRE), London. NH simultaneously concluded long-term lease contracts with the new property owner for the objects in Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Salzburg and Vienna.

An Oppenhoff & Partner team, led by Dr. Stephan König and Michael Bonsau, extensively advised NH Hoteles during this transaction. Further team members were Dr. Axel Bödefeld, Marc Krischer (both tax law), Tina Kasten, Dr. Peter Etzbach, Alf Baars (all corporate law/M&A) and Dr. Maxim Kleine (antitrust law). NH’s legal adviser on questions concerning Austrian law was the real estate expert Stefan Artner of the law firm of Dorda, Brugger, Jordis Rechtsanwälte GmbH, Vienna. Gerd Asam handled the transaction on the part of LHI Leasing GmbH (holding administration for NH Hoteles).

Oppenhoff & Partner has advised the NH group on a regular basis for years throughout its expansion in Europe, and primarily advises it in connection with German and European hotel transactions, as well as in the configuration of lease, management and real estate leasing contracts. The NH Group operates on a worldwide basis and, with more than 400 hotels and 60,000 rooms in 24 countries, is one of the largest hotel chains in Europe.
