Christoph Poertzgen’s clients are the creditors and business partners of enterprises in crisis, as well as their shareholders, managing directors and insolvency administrators. Further focuses of his activities are the provision of accompanying advance during the course of M&A transactions and restructurings near the point of insolvency, as well as the representation of his clients in court. He has particular expertise in the automobile sector and in liability in case of delays in petitioning for insolvency.

Christoph is member of the publishing council of the "ZInsO"-magazine (trade journal for insolvency law).

Christoph Poertzgen is a partner of the law firm of Oppenhoff & Partner and looks back on a longstanding legal career in insolvency law. From 2002 to 2008 he was an associate and managing associate at Oppenhoff & Rädler / Linklaters LLP in Cologne. He studied law at the University of Cologne (Dr. iur). Christoph Poertzgen makes regular contributions to numerous specialist publications, commenting on group insolvency law and liability in case of delays in petitioning for insolvency.
