Stephan Müller specialises in public law, in particular environmental, export control and public procurement law. He regularly publishes articles and speaks at conferences. From 2006 to 2009 Stephan lectured on the practical aspects of export control law at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences.

His practice encompasses advice in crisis situations and risk management as well as developing compliance structures. In this connection, Stephan also advises on anti-corruption. He advises his clients in permission and procurement proceedings as well as representing clients in proceedings before civil and administrative courts. In corporate transactions his focus lies on risk analyses in the course of due diligence processes as well as developing strategies for risk mitigation. For many years he has been ranked as a leading practitioner in export control matters in the JUVE Handbook of German Commercial Law Firms.

Career / Education

Stephan is a partner of Oppenhoff & Partner. In 1996 he was a Foreign Associate with Lovells in London. From 2001 to 2007 he was a partner at Oppenhoff & Rädler / Linklaters LLP. He studied law at the University of Bonn.
