Hanno Goltz specialises in mergers and acquisitions, advising and representing domestic and foreign companies on the sale and purchase of companies and businesses and on the legal structures for cooperations between companies in Germany and abroad. He is also experienced within the insurance sector, including M&A transactions, the establishment of new insurance companies, insurance supervision law, restructuring and development of new insurance products as well as within the security industry. He has achieved international recognition as one of the leading insurance and reinsurance lawyers, amongst other things through his inclusion in the Guide to the World’s Leading Insurance and Reinsurance Lawyers published by the Legal Media Group.

Career / Education

Hanno is a founding partner of Oppenhoff & Partner. He was a partner at Oppenhoff & Rädler/Linklaters LLP from 1978 to 2007. He studied law at the Universities of Cologne, Lausanne (Dr. iur. Soutenance de Thèse) and Bonn. Prior to commencing his career in Germany he worked for the law firm Bussy, Rusconi & Partners in Lausanne.
