Peter Etzbach focuses his practice on the insurance and financial services industry. He advises German and international corporations and financial investors on cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures and restructurings as well as on their financing. Peter has particular expertise in corporate law, including German stock corporation law, insurance and reinsurance law, finance, capital markets as well as insurance and banking supervision.

Career / Education

Peter is a partner of Oppenhoff & Partner. He started his career at Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP in Frankfurt in 2002. From 2004 to 2007 he was an associate and managing associate at Oppenhoff & Rädler/Linklaters LLP. Peter studied law at the University of Cologne (Dr. iur.) and Fordham University School of Law, New York (LL.M.). He is also admitted to the New York Bar.
